Massive Victimization With Online Scams during the COVID-19 Crisis

Post by SCARS »

Our organization is receiving over 1,000 victim inquiries a day from online scam victims about coronavirus scams.
Of special concern are the scams relating to the stilumous checks to be received. We are seeing a perfect storm forming for massive identity theft from fake websites and email phishing scams.
We are very concerned about the trauma that the crisis has created compounded with the probable identity theft and possible stimulus funds hijacking that is going on.
What do the rest of you see regarding this?
